Your Day — Itinerary

Windsor Castle — First Group to Enter Each Morning

Your day begins at Windsor Castle, perched high above the River Thames just outside London. With over 900 years of royal history, this is the largest continuously occupied castle in the world — home to 40 successive monarchs from William the Conqueror to King Charles III. As one of the first groups to enter each morning, you'll enjoy the splendour of St George's Chapel — the final resting place of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II — and the magnificent State Apartments before the crowds arrive. Windsor itself is a charming town full of traditional shops and historic pubs — Shakespeare is said to have written The Merry Wives of Windsor in one of them!

Lacock — Lunch in a 14th Century Pub

Next, you'll visit the enchanting medieval village of Lacock — one of England's best-preserved villages and a filming location for Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, and Downton Abbey. Enjoy a guided walking tour of this remarkable place before sitting down to a traditional pub lunch at The George Inn, a 14th century country pub that has been welcoming guests for over 700 years.

Stonehenge — One of the World's Greatest Mysteries

After Lacock, your coach continues to the most iconic prehistoric monument on earth. Standing alone on the vast expanse of Salisbury Plain, Stonehenge dates back nearly 5,000 years and remains one of the world's great unsolved mysteries. Was it a temple to the sun, an observatory of the moon, or an elaborate ancient cemetery? Who were the people who transported and carved these 40-tonne stones? Come and unlock the secrets for yourself and marvel at this extraordinary feat of ancient engineering.

Bath — A UNESCO World Heritage City

Your final stop is the beautiful Georgian city of Bath — a UNESCO World Heritage Site of sweeping crescents, honey-coloured stone terraces and Roman heritage. Following a panoramic tour of the city, you'll have free time to visit Bath Abbey, stroll across Pulteney Bridge and watch the river Avon cascade over the weir below. Why not explore the Roman Baths, browse the boutique shops, or enjoy afternoon tea in the elegant Pump Rooms while listening to the resident string quartet?
