Stonehenge

We depart London and journey west into the rolling chalk hills of historic Wessex, where Stonehenge rises majestically against the horizon. This prehistoric wonder has captivated the imagination of historians and visitors for centuries. With your expert guide, uncover the mysteries and theories behind its creation and stand in awe of its enduring, powerful presence.

Glastonbury

Further west, we enter the mystical lands of Celtic Avalon and the Glastonbury Tor, set amidst the wetlands of the Somerset Levels. Legend holds that a mortally wounded King Arthur was brought here after the Battle of Camlann. Walk among the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey and visit his fabled gravesite, while your guide reveals the ancient tales of Joseph of Arimathea and the quest for the Holy Grail. Explore the enchanting town of Glastonbury, full of charm, intriguing New Age shops, and whimsical cafés perfect for a leisurely lunch.

Avebury

Our final stop of the day is the awe-inspiring Avebury Stone Circles, part of a prehistoric landscape that is deeply spiritual. This remarkable site, older and even larger than Stonehenge, surrounds a charming village of thatched cottages nestled right within the circle itself. Explore with your specialist guide and feel the connection to those who stood here over 4,000 years ago. Learn about the rituals, myths, and alignments that make Avebury one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in Europe before we return to London after a truly memorable day of legends and landscapes.
